Thinking about some info I read over on doslynx-dev,
specifically that the current alpha version for dos was compiled
with alot of broken libraries not least of which was an old version
of turbovision and doslynx-dev has also
run out of money for repairs to existing alpha software let alone upgrades.
The whole doslynx program might be written using icon if broken libraries
could be avoided and if performance of software were at reasonable levels.
Specifically identical or better than current doslynx performance.
If something similar to this project were done,
it might be possible to improve forms filling interface and actually
implement forms filling for dos, it's not currently supported.
It might also be possible for the dos version to play sounds it links
to, also not currently supported.
In any case I'd not advise anyone to attempt something like this
unless they had the bugs list for known bugs in the current
executables before starting out.
The dos version was compiled on bcc plus.
